Bagpipe performance in East Tennessee

Available as solo piper, or piper and drummer

Betsy began playing the bagpipes in 1982, studying with Jerry Finnegan and Norman Livermore of the Atlanta Pipe Band. In 1986 she paused her piping career to continue her professional education. Following extensive studies in Scottish fiddle she has returned to playing the bagpipes and now performs with the Knoxville Pipes and Drums. She has returned to bagpipe competition and is currently competing Grade IV.

Winkie Taylor has put together an excellent web page containing all you ever wanted to know about hiring a bagpipe player. I strongly encourage you to visit her page if you are considering hiring a piper.

Betsy also plays the Scottish smallpipes. She has a set in D made by Hamish Moore. If you are interested in bagpipes other than the highland bagpipes, you may be interested in the North Hero Pipers Gathering.
